The AFL Ontario Awards Night was a good place to see just how much the Blues have accomplished in 2026. Five Blues were named to the All-Ontario Team of the Year, while Myers and Katt took home individual honours of their own.
Five Blues named To All-Ontario Team of the Year
- Myers earned a spot on the wing after an outstanding first season and one of the league’s standout rookie campaigns.
- Baker was a brick wall at half-back, making life difficult for anyone trying to score.
- Katt brought plenty of pace and veteran experience to the wing, along with a suspicious fondness for taking a bounce (or three) on the run.
- Woz coached both teams at all three development practice matches… solo. Because apparently one team wasn’t enough.
- Michelle, in just her second year, was a shifty and dangerous threat at CHF all season.
Rookie of the Year: Myers
Myers joined us in the final week of preseason and quickly fell in love with footy, making her debut in Ottawa before heading to Team Canada camp and earning a spot on the Northern Lights long list for the Parallel Cup. She later won Rookie of the Tournament in Montreal.
Back with the Blues, her fitness, communication and relentless work rate made an immediate impact, earning her Rookie of the Year.

Volunteer of the Year: Katt
Katt came out of retirement in 2023 to help run the club and has been a driving force behind our comeback ever since. This season, she helped put more than 50 people on the path to learning footy, with 25+ going on to don the navy blue, while also plastering the city with recruitment posters, welcoming new players and bringing in eight sponsors. Her work extended beyond the Blues too, helping organize all three league preseason practice matches and a Team Canada training session ahead of the USA match. She was rewarded with Bruce Parker Volunteer of the Year, an award named after our very own Bruce Parker.
Fun fact: Bruce Parker has never won the Bruce Parker Volunteer of the Year Award.
A lot to celebrate, but we’re not done yet.
