All Skill Levels Welcome

Crossover Athletes

Channel raw athleticism into a new exciting challenge! Footy is a combination of soccer, basketball, and rugby, and there is a direct pathway to Team Canada selection.

Play Soccer? You’ll be our new midfielder with your high aerobic engine, field vision, and foot skills. Goalkeepers transition seamlessly to footy thanks to their hand-eye coordination.

Play Basketball? Try playing "ruck" or key forward. Your vertical leap and ability to read the ball in the air make for clean overhead catching (marking).

Play Rugby or Hockey? Our backline will love your physicality, grit, and determination to defend our goals and win back the ball.

Aussie Expats & Travellers

Missing home? The Blues are your instant community in Canada. We understand the lingo, and our game days will bring back that familiar weekend routine. Plus, as the only downtown team, there are no long commutes to our training field. Just hop on a streetcar to our a practice location.

No experience? No problem. Learn the absolute basics from scratch in a zero-pressure environment. We welcome everyone to join our community.

Use our practices purely for a great workout! Our weeknight practices are predominantly non-contact to keep it safe, accessible, and fun.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience?
No! The vast majority of our Canadian roster, including players who went on to represent the national team, started entirely from scratch with us.

What should I bring to my first session?
Running shoes (for indoor pre-season), soccer cleats/boots (for the outdoor summer season), a water bottle, and a positive attitude. We provide the footballs, training vests, and team jerseys.

Is it a contact sport?
Yes, the summer league features full tackling. However, our regular training sessions and mid-week scrimmages focus on non-contact skills or basic "wrap tackles" (bear hugs) to ensure everyone feels safe and included.

Can I join mid-season?
Absolutely. We welcome new players year-round, which is perfect for working holiday travelers landing in Toronto during the summer months.

Non-Playing Roles

Not looking to lace up the boots but still want the matchday energy and an instant community? Our club relies on people off the field just as much as on it. We are always looking for vital crew members to help us run the show:

- Matchday Heros (Umpires & Water Runners): Stay right in the thick of the action and get a great cardio workout without the physical contact.
- The Creative Crew (Photographers & Media): Build your portfolio by capturing matchday highlights, or help run our social media accounts.
- The Vibe Directors (Events & Socials): Help organize our legendary events, season trips, and club awards night.
- The Tacticians (Admin & Logistics): Lend your organizational skills to game-day setup, team gear coordination, or club administration.
